মৃত্যুদণ্ডাদেশ হ্রাসকরণঅনানুষ্ঠানিক অনুবাদ
In every case in which sentence of death shall have been passed, ¹⁸[the Government] may, without the consent of the offender, commute the punishment for any other punishment provided by this Code.
¹⁸ The words "the Government" were substituted, for the words "Central Government or the Provincial Government of the province within which the offender shall have been sentenced" by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)

¹⁸ “কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার বা যে প্রদেশে অপরাধী দণ্ডিত হয়েছেন সেই প্রদেশের প্রাদেশিক সরকার” শব্দগুলোর পরিবর্তে “সরকার” শব্দটি বাংলাদেশ আইন (সংশোধন ও ঘোষণা) আইন, ১৯৭৩ (১৯৭৩ সনের ৮ নং আইন)-এর ধারা ৩ ও দ্বিতীয় তফসিল দ্বারা প্রতিস্থাপিত।
