Nothing in this Act is intended to repeal, vary, suspend, or affect ⁷[∗ ∗ ∗] any of the provisions of any Act for punishing mutiny and desertion of officers, soldiers, sailors or airmen in the service of the ⁸[Republic], or of any special or local law.

এই আইনের কোনো কিছুই ⁷[∗ ∗ ∗] ⁸[প্রজাতন্ত্রের] কর্মে নিয়োজিত কর্মকর্তা, সৈনিক, নাবিক বা বিমানসেনাদের বিদ্রোহ ও পলায়নের দণ্ড প্রদানের জন্য প্রণীত কোনো আইনের কোনো বিধান, অথবা কোনো বিশেষ বা স্থানীয় আইনের কোনো বিধান রহিত, পরিবর্তন, স্থগিত বা প্রভাবিত করার অভিপ্রায়ে প্রণীত নয়।
⁷ “৩ ও ৪ চতুর্থ উইলিয়াম, অধ্যায় ৮৫ সংবিধির কোনো বিধান, অথবা ওই সংবিধির পরে পাসকৃত যুক্তরাজ্যের পার্লামেন্টের এমন কোনো আইনের কোনো বিধান, যা কোনোভাবে ইস্ট ইন্ডিয়া কোম্পানি বা পাকিস্তান বা এর অধিবাসীদের প্রভাবিত করে; অথবা” শব্দাবলি, অঙ্ক, কমা ও সেমিকোলন বাংলাদেশ আইন (সংশোধন ও ঘোষণা) আইন, ১৯৭৩ (১৯৭৩ সনের ৮ নং আইন)-এর ধারা ৩ ও দ্বিতীয় তফসিল দ্বারা বিলুপ্ত।
⁸ “রাষ্ট্র” শব্দটির পরিবর্তে “প্রজাতন্ত্র” শব্দটি বাংলাদেশ আইন (সংশোধন ও ঘোষণা) আইন, ১৯৭৩ (১৯৭৩ সনের ৮ নং আইন)-এর ধারা ৩ ও দ্বিতীয় তফসিল দ্বারা প্রতিস্থাপিত।
