নিযুক্ত কর্মকর্তাদের ক্ষমতাঅনানুষ্ঠানিক অনুবাদ
Whenever any person holding an office in the service of Government who has been invested with any powers under this Code throughout any local area is appointed to an equal or higher office of the same nature, within a like local area ⁶⁶[∗∗∗], he shall, unless the Government otherwise directs, or has otherwise directed, exercise the same powers in the local area in which he is so appointed.
⁶⁶ The words "under the same Provincial Government" were omitted by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)

সরকারের চাকরিতে কোনো পদে অধিষ্ঠিত যে ব্যক্তির ওপর কোনো স্থানীয় এলাকাজুড়ে এই কার্যবিধির অধীন কোনো ক্ষমতা ন্যস্ত করা হয়েছে, তিনি যখনই ⁶⁶[∗∗∗] অনুরূপ কোনো স্থানীয় এলাকার মধ্যে একই প্রকৃতির সমান বা উচ্চতর কোনো পদে নিযুক্ত হন, তখন তিনি, সরকার অন্যরূপ নির্দেশ না দিলে বা অন্যরূপ নির্দেশ দিয়ে না থাকলে, যে স্থানীয় এলাকায় তিনি এরূপে নিযুক্ত হন, সেখানে একই ক্ষমতা প্রয়োগ করবেন।
⁶⁶ “একই প্রাদেশিক সরকারের অধীন” শব্দগুলো বাংলাদেশ আইন (সংশোধন ও ঘোষণা) আইন, ১৯৭৩ (১৯৭৩ সনের ৮ নং আইন)-এর ধারা ৩ ও দ্বিতীয় তফসিল দ্বারা বিলুপ্ত।
