Where the property to be attached is moveable property, other than agricultural produce, in the possession of judgment-debtor, the attachment shall be made by actual seizure, and the attaching officer shall keep the property in his own custody or in the custody of one of his subordinates, and shall be responsible for the due custody thereof:
Provided that, when the property seized is subject to speedy and natural decay, or when the expense of keeping it in custody is likely to exceed its value, the attaching officer may sell it at once.

ক্রোক করতে চাওয়া সম্পত্তি দায়িকের দখলে থাকা কৃষিজ ফসল ব্যতীত অন্য অস্থাবর সম্পত্তি হলে, প্রকৃতপক্ষে জব্দ করার মাধ্যমে ক্রোক করতে হবে, এবং ক্রোককারী কর্মকর্তা সম্পত্তিটি নিজ হেফাজতে বা তাঁর কোনো অধস্তন কর্মচারীর হেফাজতে রাখবেন, এবং এর যথাযথ হেফাজতের জন্য দায়ী থাকবেন:
তবে শর্ত থাকে যে, জব্দকৃত সম্পত্তি দ্রুত ও স্বাভাবিকভাবে পচনশীল হলে, অথবা তা হেফাজতে রাখার ব্যয় এর মূল্যের চেয়ে বেশি হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা থাকলে, ক্রোককারী কর্মকর্তা তা তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে বিক্রয় করতে পারবেন।
