সংবিধানের বাংলা পাঠ ও ইংরেজি অনূদিত পাঠ দুটিই নির্ভরযোগ্য পাঠ। দুটির মধ্যে বিরোধ হলে বাংলা পাঠ প্রাধান্য পায় (অনুচ্ছেদ ১৫৩)।
১২৭। (১) বাংলাদেশের একজন মহা হিসাব-নিরীক্ষক ও নিয়ন্ত্রক (অতঃপর "মহা হিসাব-নিরীক্ষক" নামে অভিহিত) থাকিবেন এবং তাঁহাকে রাষ্ট্রপতি নিয়োগদান করিবেন।
(২) এই সংবিধান ও সংসদ কর্তৃক প্রণীত যে কোন আইনের বিধানাবলী সাপেক্ষে মহা হিসাব-নিরীক্ষকের কর্মের শর্তাবলী রাষ্ট্রপতি আদেশের দ্বারা যেরূপ নির্ধারণ করিবেন, সেইরূপ হইবে।
127. (1) There shall be a Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (hereinafter referred to as the Auditor General) who shall be appointed by the President.
(2) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution and of any law made by Parliament, the conditions of service of the Auditor General shall be such as the President may, by order, determine.
